Well I have not seen any other MPs specifically for Moxa. Of course there are several ways to look at this: You can ping the device (there are free ping management packs out there) You can add the device to SCOM if you have a read-only SNMP string access to the device. You can check if you can access the device further with SNMP or if you can have it send SNMP traps to your SCOM server. It looks like their devices do talk SNMP, so there is a chance. You can check if the devices can do something like syslog and capture that. Request a trial of the Quest MP and see what it does for you. Keep checking on the net for a management pack :-) And of course... contact Moxa directly and ask them for a SCOM management pack. Does not hurt to rock the boat for this as manageability and monitoring are always hot and should be taken care of by manufacturers whenever possible.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)

Hi, If you would try to author the management pack by yourself, I think you can refer to the following guide: Authoring in Operations Manager 2007 R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd347527.aspx Considering this is related to Moxa products, it is also recommended that you go to Moxa Support and see if they have a management pack for their products or if they have some information helpful on authoring management pack for Moxa products. Moxa Support http://www.moxa.com/support/support_home.htm Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
