MonitoringHost.exe process consuming almost 100% of memory
I have single RMS server monitoring whole infrastructure (W2K8 R2, SCOM 2K7 R2), recently I noticed, that monitoringhost.exe process is consuming about 98% of available memory (4GB). After restart it went down to around 1.4 GB, but then when I came back next day I noticed it went back to almost 100%. Increasing available memory to 8GB didn't solve the problem, process can now occupy up to 6.5GB of memory (which in total again gives about 99%), after restart it is growing sistematically until it reaches whole available memory space. Is there any solution known long-term for this problem?

What cumulative update version have you installed on SCOM on this RMS server?Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient

Hi, May I know if there were any changes before the issue occurred? Regarding the issue that the MonitoringHost.exe process consumes a lot of memory, please also refer to: The MonitoringHost.exe process on the System Center Operations Manager 2007 root management server may consume more than 2 gigabytes of memory http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943706 If the issue persists, please check the Event Log on the problematic server; if there are any related errors, please let us know the details. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
