Modifying an import data package
Hi, I need to modify an import data package created with the Management Studio --> select a database --> right click --> Tasks --> Import Data and so on. I have already known if it is possible to import the package inside a SSIS project with VSTO 2005/2008 and then manage it. But I'd like to know an alternative and more simple way to do it. Any suggests to me, please? Thanks

I think you have to use Visual Studio to modify SSIS packages. Do check the old thread of a similar question: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqlintegrationservices/thread/9cc6a819-e7b5-40a2-b5b6-0957118ffed7/

Hi, I was curious to know an alternative manner. It doesn't exist. I can use only VSTO. Thanks

not advisable but you could edit the package.dtsx it's just an xml file, but do make a copy first Aziz H.
