I am wondering if there's an easy way to update all user alerts in a sharepoint site. I need to change all user alerts to daily from immediate, I know all alerts are stored in content database in immedSubscriptions table. But I don't know what to update to accomplish what I want, does anybody have done this before it's impossible to go through all alerts and manually recreate them.

Hi there, There is no OOTB ability to manage user alerts en-mass in any version of SharePoint; the closest would be to manage user alerts for other people via Site Administration, User Alerts - however - as you know this only enables you to view and delete user alerts not change them.
