Mobile clients unable to sign in after latest round of updates. Webhost failed to process a request errors

We have the exact same problem. Problem started right after install (and reboot of the server) of Windows updates. We're on Windows 2012, with Lyncserver 2013.

We then installed KB3080356 (Lync Server 2013, core components), along with SP1 for SQL Server 2014, SP2 for SQL Server 2012 and KB3058168 (which were all in the optional updates), and that got it working again.

Our mobile clients that were previously working fine are no longer able to sign in to Lync 2013 with "Can't connect to the server messages"

Relevant factors I think are:

- This issue seems to have come up immediately after the latest round of windows updates

- Another symptom is a lot of Webhost errors on the front end server which also appeared just after updates

WebHost failed to process a request.

Any help with diagnosing this error would be greatly appreciated!!

Uninstalling KB3080353 and rebooting the front end servers resolved it for me.

in addition to lync mobile not connecting, lync 2010 clients were getting authentication prompts which wouldn't take their credentials. The credential prompt issue was not present for lync 2013 clients.

both issues are now resolved after removing the update.
