Mixing Code-less Provisioning with Rules Extensions
Hello All,
I have a situation which is forcing me to use the rules extension to meet the need. I would like to understand if this can work together with Codeless Provisioning.
Situation: The code-less provisioning doesn't have any means to provide a computed attribute as a Relationship Criteria for In-bound Synchronization. The other alternative is to use a Rules Extension to compute the value of an
attribute which will then be used for join and projection operation.
Question: Having said that, is there any way a Synchronization Rule created in FIM-WS use the Rules Extension based join/projection criteria defined at the FIM Sync Service layer?
Result:
If this is not supported, then I am afraid the Code-less Provisioning cannot be mixed with Rules Extensions. It may be mutually exclusive. In other words, if I use Rules Extension for join/projection criteria then I will have to define the attribute flow
in FIM Synchronization Service as against in FIM Portal/Service.
Appreciate your help,
Thanks,

Henrik,
Thanks for pointing this out. I must say this capability makes FIM quite powerful and flexible.
I will try it out and reach back to this forum if needed.
