Missing computers from group.
Hi, I have problem with SCE 2007 and just wander if somebody could help me. Last weekend I installed patches on my network on 10 servers. I also updated some Managements packs (Windows Server MP and Active Directory MP). Today I found when I go to Computers Groups and click on All Computers I can see only 7 machines and 3 are missing. However it shows me “All Computers (10)”. When I create new Computer Group I’m able to see all 10 computers on the list but 3 problematic are without “Operating System Version” and “Computer Model” and new group don’t show them. I’ve check agent Managed Agents status and all 10 are healthy. I also removed agent and installed it again, restarted for one of problematic servers but still can’t see it in the group. Could you advice me please? Another thing is I installed long time ago some MPs and now I would like to delete all Management Packs which are not necessary. I just wonder if somebody could give me maybe example of list like that please. Thank you.

Hi, Please try the following on the SCE server: 1. Close SCE console and clear the console cache by running the following command: "C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.UI.Console.exe" /clearcache 2. Clear the HealthService queue: 1) Stop System Center Management service. 2) Go to C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\, and rename the “Health Service State” folder. 3) Restart System Center Management service. Meanwhile, please also check the issue referring to the following method: A Windows 2000-based, Windows Server 2003-based, or Windows XP-based computer that was set up by using a Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP image does not appear in the WSUS console http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903262 Hope this helps. Hi Nicholas, Many thanks for your help. I’ve tried all you recommendations and unfortunately still no luckL Just wander what is responsible for showing of Operating System Version and Computer Model. Maybe problem is in management pack? Any other idea which I can try. Once again many thanks for your help.

Hi, I’ve just checked and all servers are discovered and shown in correct groups in WSUS server. Only difference is, in SCE 2007 console, when I change group, it doesn’t show me Operation System Version and Computer Model for those particular machines. Does anybody know, what is or may be responsible for this? Please help me, I’m just desperate.

One more thing which I noticed, when I go to Authoring->Groups->All Servers->View group members I can see all computers there, however problematic ones have only NetBIOS name instead FQDN (server01 instead server01.contoso.com). What it could be?
