Missing Task Sequence II
I advertised my task sequence to the "All Unknown Computers" collection. I then right clicked my TS and picked 'create bootable media" When I run this DVD on a non-sccm client machine WinPE starts up. It prompts me saying "you have not set a password for your TS", I click Next and there are NO Task Sequences displayed to run. I have 3 TS advertised to the All Unknown Computers collection and two of them used to show up when running the DVD/boot media. now nothing shows up. What could have caused this? mqh7

Hi, just read my blog about Create and use Task Sequence "Boot" Media http://henkhoogendoorn.blogspot.com/2011/03/create-and-use-task-sequence-boot-media.html It mentions: Choose to create Bootable media, and apply it to USB or CD/DVD. Also make sure the Task Sequence used for OSD is advertised on the collection used for deployment. For a new device use "All Unknown Computers", for known devices use a deployment collection (for example). Then start the device with Bootable media. When a password is set for security reasons, this must be filled-in first. My ConfigMgr blog: http://henkhoogendoorn.blogspot.com Follow me on Twitter: @henkhoogendoorn

Thank you. I read your post but it does not answer my question. I have a PC that I've tried to run several DVD's on. At first when I'd run the DVD I would see TWO task sequences. I advertised a new task seqnece to the All Unknown Computers collection now I see NO task sequences when I run my DVD. The PC I am using does NOT have a record in SCCM so I can't create a collection for it. In the All Unknown Computers collection there are several machines so it must be one of them. But I can't delete any machines from the All Unknown Computers collection. So each time anyone runs a Boot Media DVD now you see NO availabe Task Sequences to run. We are not sure why so any help would be great. mqh7
