Missing SQL Server memory rule
My SCOM 2007 R2 does not collect these 2 counter:
Collect SQLServer:Memory Manager\Target Server Memory (KB)
Collect SQLServer:Memory Manager\Total Server Memory (KB)
I need to see how SQL consume memory. In SCOM, the report pane and monitor| performance, it does not show any of this.
I am using SQL 2008 on Win 2008 R2. The SCOM is 2007 R2 with SQL 2008 R2 MP. Is it common to create rule manually? Or, I am overlook?
Thanks.

Hi
I don't think the SQL MP does this out of the box. You could create your own rule but be careful with SQL as you need to make sure you take into account that you can have multiple instances of SQL on the same server (and that the performance counters will
be uniquely named with regards to instance name).
