Missing Power Management Client Agent in Client Agents Panel after install Configuration Manager 2007 R3
Hi pros, I installed Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 on windows server 2003 sp2 ent endition and sql server is 2005 sp4. Then I patched KB977384 and installed R3 patch, and I can find Reporting Service Point in Server Role Panel when I added it, I think it means R3 is installed. but I cannot find Power Management Client Agent in Client Agents , and also cannot enable it. so, what's wrong here? I tried uninstall R3 and reinstalled it, nothing changed, I also did these steps for KB977384

Hi, You need to add the Reporting Services Point as a site system before you can start working with it. Installing site systems http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc161824.aspx Check the R3 installation log file for any errors. It's located in the %temp% folder.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Are you using a local (to the primary site server) or remote console? Did you apply the hotfix the clients?Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

Hi Kent, I mean, I can find SRS Point on my site, but I can't find Power Management Client Agent and enable it, I tried add SRS role, and it works fine. but Power Management Client Agent still not shows up. I also checked the log file, seems very normal. Is there any possibility could cause this problem occor just on Windows Server 2003? because I nerver encountered this on other system.

Hi guys, Today, I installed an new env on Windows Server 2008 and other config is same as Windows Server 2003, and it also missed the Power Management Client Agent. What's wrong with SQL Server 2005 SP4?

What's wrong with SQL Server 2005 SP4? I've not seen any announcement about the support of ConfigMgr on SQL 2005 SP4 and the official doc tells us only SP2 or SP3. So in this case, you should use SQL 2005 SP2 or SP3 or SQL 2008/2008R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee344146.aspx Bechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/
