MissingWebPart Error in Health Analyzer (Even Though WebParts are Installed and Working on the Farm)

Dear All

I have recently upgraded our content databases from SharePoint 2010 to 2013. I am now getting a Health Analyzer warning to report that some of my webparts are missing, for example:

[MissingWebPart] WebPart class [5ae1ee45-be7e-6fbd-3c90-03ed3ed855ef] (class [SLG.Web.WebParts.StudentDetailBasic] from assembly [SLGWeb, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=21f532fe36bf9cd6]) is referenced [3] times in the database [WSS_content], but is not installed on the current farm. Please install any feature/solution which contains this web part. One or more web parts are referenced in the database [WSS_content], but are not installed on the current farm. Please install any feature or solution which contains these web parts.

However, the webparts are definitely installed into the farm and are working exactly as I would expect! I have used the following article to help me track down where the webparts are being used on pages and they all work perfectly.

I'm sure I can just ignore these errors as everything is working fine but I don't want to. I would like to resolve all of these errors for peace-of-mind.

Please can you help me understand what's going wrong?

Many thanks

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

According to your description, my understanding is that there are MissingWebPart errors in health analyzer but web parts work fine in your environment.

Did you have some custom web parts in SharePoint? Did them link some features/solutions? If that is the case, please install the features/solutions related to the web parts.

Please refer to the link below, visit SearchAdministration.aspx and SearchFarmDashboard.aspx page:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/22907.sharepoint-2010-health-analyzer-missing-server-side-dependencies.aspx

If it doesnt work, you could try SharePoint Feature Administration and clean up tool to check:

Below is a solution to find missing web part:
