Check the number of minor versions you have for these docs. By default, each major version can have 511 minor versions but this is configurable by the site admins.
Delete a few minor verions from the version history of the document.

Go to the document library --> Settings --> Document Library Settings --> Versioning Settings
Under Document Version History section, check the option for "Keep drafts for the following number of major versions". Enter the number of versions that you want to keep.
Hope this helps.

Dear Dip,
Let me describe the issue in detail
Actually problem is occurring with InfoPath form published on SharePoint Form library. Out of 100 infopath forms, there are 2-3 forms which show
minor version error message . When I check version of the faulty form it displays me the error. Hardly there are
10-15 major version and only 1-2 minor versions
of the form of the faulty InfoPath form.
Now what Versioning setting will you recommend in our case?
Regards..
