Minimum permissions for ConfigMgr console to connect to Corporate SSRS
Hi Everyone
I’ve deployed a new site system using the ConfigMgr R2 SP2 computer account (added computer account to SSRS local admins) to our Corporate 2008 SSRS server which
is running on server 2008. The site system installed fine and I temporary added my admin account to the local admin group prior to following these steps
http://scug.dk/blogs/configurationmanager/archive/2009/08/13/configuring-sql-reporting-services-user-permission-for-configuration-manager-2007.aspx
I’ve copied the reports and everything works great on SSRS but once I’ve removed my admin account I cannot access the reports DIRECTLY from the ConfigMgr console.
I know this is kind of trivial but I’d like to get it sorted to work with minimum permissions.
I’ve tried adding myself as a “Power user” OR “Distributed COM Users”
I’ve tried to “Configure a Report Server for Remote Administration” in the lab using these steps
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms365170(SQL.100).aspx
It seems to be a WMI remote permission issue/challenge….any suggestions?
Thank you

Have you added your using account to the 'browser' role in SSRS:

Hi Torsten
Thank you for the quick reply.
As I said Corporate SSRS....so I didnt have right's to the "Home" folder....got that changed via our SQL admin and that resolved the issue. Still need to be a member of "Distributed COM Users" which I can understand.
Thanks again for your help :)
