Have you customized anything? The default migration path should be from C:\Document and Settings\username to C:\Users\username. If you have customized the profile location in Windows XP, or want to customize the scanstate and loadstate configurations, please refer: Step-by-Step: Basic Windows Migration using USMT for IT Professionals http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd883247(WS.10).aspxPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. HI, yes I have customised the paths, but it works fine on the most of the machines, only some machines with XP where the files are encrypted. I am not using any deployment tool. Just manually running the command and then copying it on target and then loadstate. scanstate works fine but during loadstate the encrypted files does not get copied. gives "access denied error" as i have usesd /c it moves ahed and none of the data is restoerd from the store.
