I have migrated from Windows 2003 Server with WSS3 RTM (initial Release) to a Windows 2008 server with WSS3 sp2+ Using FBA and FBA is working, that’s fine but were having issues with <<render failures>> this is to do with custom web parts and view’s, we have this on every page so there’s about 30 plus to mirror again from the live site to the new.Any quick fixes on this before I look at the code itsel?Thanks Sharepoint Customiser

Actually, on your new server since it is SP2 you could run STSADM -o Preupgradecheck and the report should give you an idea whether anything is missing. Did you run the STSADM -o PreUpgradeCheck on that new server as I'd suggested?
