What are you trying to - achieve by installing SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 on a single server? - achieve by shifting from SQL 2008 to SQL 2005?Thanks & Regards, Kamlesh | Blog | Twitter | Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

If I read your post correctly you want to move your SharePoint content from SQL 2008 to SQL 2005? If this is correct you won't be able to move your SQL dbs to an older version. The only way I'd know of to do this would be to setup the new SharePoint environment using SQL 2005 then you could move the site collections over using stsadm -o backup This way you'd only be backing up a site collection at a time and could be done between different SQL versions. Then you'd need to move the site collection you'd backed up over to the new server and restore it to an empty web application by doing stsadm -o restore.... This is a pretty uncommon situation and I'd recommend staying on SQL 2008 if possible. Otherwise this is about the only way I can think of to accomplish this task.
