Migrate existing MDT 2010 infrastructure to SCCM 2007 Zero Touch
We have a existing MDT LTI deployment infrastructure, is it possible to integrate the same with SCCM 2007 ZTI ?If yes , is there any Documentation supporting it.

Hello - MDT scripts can be used in SCCM. See, MDT and SCCM 2007 - better together http://blogs.msdn.com/b/steverac/archive/2008/10/19/mdt-and-sccm-2007-better-together.aspxAnoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Sorry may be my question was not clear . I have the LTI infrastructure set and working fine and can the same be used with the SCCM ZTI , So what will be the process , 1)uninstall MDT and re-install on SCCM with the MDT integration ? 2) Can all the TS used in LTI work in SCCM ZTI etc etc. 3) What about drivers , all those need to be recreated in SCCM ? so basically i assume that it would be to rework the entire LTI , if needed to move it to ZTI infrastructure? Thank ShivShiv

You do not have to uninstall MDT, if it is already installed on the SCCM server, just run the integration, and create a Toolkit package like so http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/creating-and-using-toolkit-package/ its a little old, but should give you the general idea. There is no problem having both environments running, In fact, a lot of people create their master images on MDT, and deploy them using SCCM The Task Sequences are not entirely the same, as the SCCM run under its own GINA, and MDT just runs a script that picks up where it was last... An example is the process that boots from PE to OS and vise versa, that is not the same for the two methods.. I would definitely recreate the TS from within SCCM using the MDT integration wizard. All driver should be created as driver packages from within SCCM, here is some reading on that http://blogs.technet.com/b/mniehaus/archive/2010/04/29/configmgr-2007-driver-management-the-novel-part-1.aspxMichael Petersen blog: http://blog.coretech.dk/mip

Hi Michael If I am not wrong , the MDT Tool package is automatically created while building the Task sequence in MDT 2010 and necessary files are copied to the folder. Correct me if I am wrong ShivShiv
