Migrate Web App from 64 bit to 32 bit
I need to migrate a web application from 64 bit MOSS environment to 32 bit environment (different farm). I got into questions like will it work? Is it okay to migrate? Any issuese will be laterr on? Then, what is the best way to do the migration. My databases are hosted in a different box (SQL 2005) and they are create by DBA. Thanks

How did the migration go? I'm planning on doing a migration from a 32 bit environment to 64 bit, so im looking for some pointers into where to begin. Can i do a backup from 32 bit and restore it on the 64 bit server?

Have your sharepoint 64 bit ready first. Then create the web application and install all the third part web parts if any. Then, backup your site collectionusing stsadm in 32 bit sharepoint and restore it in 64 bit sharepoint server. Everything should go smooth. In general all the 32 bit stuffs are supported in 64 bit environemnt. But currently there is no 64 bit ifilder for PDF content search.
