Hi, i was trying to migrate WSS 3.0 from Windows Server 2003 R2 to Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition. i download WSS 3.0 x64 to be installed on 2k8 server, i point the database to the old database, give the username and password. but i get this error: Failed to connect to the configuration database. An exception of type System.Security.SecurityException was thrown. Additional exception information: Access is denied. is there anything i should check or setting before i migrate? thanks!AddinGanteng

The message implies to me that something isn't correctly configured SECURITY wise on the new server or your service accounts. Go through the recommended security best practices and ensure everything lines up in your environment. Once it does, this error should be gone.
