Migrate Sharepoint Foundation TeamSites to different language farm

Hello,

Scenario

I've got 473 teamsites to move into another SharePoint farm since our company has joined a new one.

The new company has already got a SharePoint farm onto which the sites have to be migrated to; its language is EN-EN (1033) with no language packs installed (as per business request) and our current farm is under PT-BR (1046 - Brazilian Portuguese) locale.

I'm not being able to restore the backups due to language mismatch (expected).

In addition, I've known that changing the "dbo.Webs SET Language =1033" would force it to turn all the site collections into EN-EN locale, however, such SQL data manipulation would turn the farm into a non-supported mode (also expected).

PART 2 - Questions

1) Is there any possible way for migrating the TeamSite data from a PT-BR into EN-EN version TeamSite? (I'm considering creating a new TeamSite and copying the content from one site to another) Is there any script that would do the task just providing the source URL and the destination path?

2) Supposing that I'm changing the SQL "dbo.Webs SET Language =1033" :

a) I perform a backup of the site with locale manipulated and unsupported

b) Restore it into a new farm

c) Run any patch or something that changes the database (and require configuration wizard to run)

d) Backup that site from that new farm

Will that data still be into a non-supported mode? Would the patch turn that data into a supported mode once again?

Yes, I am desperate. I have plenty of sites to migrate and lack of time to perform it L

I appreciate ANY help.
