Migrate 2 different domain user accounts SharePoint permissions into a single domain user account in new domain
We are currently working on migrating two SPS 2003 environments into our production MOSS 2007 environment due to an aquisition. I have migated all of the sites by moving the databases and attaching in our production farm. All sites are working normally. The source SPS environments were seperate with one being used for Intranet sites and the other used for Extrnanet sites. Internal company users have accounts in both the internal and external domain for access to sites in both environments. What I am not sure how to do is migrate both the Intranet and Extranet user accounts permissions from the SPS 2003 environments into a single user account in the new MOSS 2007 farm. I am using stsadm to migrate the users in SharePoint and can migrate the user accounts with no problem, but since stsadm overwrites the rights the destination user account has I am not sure how to migrate both sets of the source users into the desitnation user account. Question: Can you migrate the rights of two users into a single user using stsadm?

The STSADM -o MIGRATEUSER command can only move one user's permission set to another. It cannot merge user permissions together. There is currently no out of the box way to merge user permissions together. I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog

Thanks, that is what I have read other places as well. I just wanted to get confirmation from others to see if I was missing something.
