we got a requirement from the client that is he want to have a portal with sharepointas front end FileNet asback end whenwe gone through some documents ofMICROSOFT and IBM ,we came to know that it is possible.. for that IBM has released Some Connectors which accessing date to and fro fromFILENET example: connector for Sharepoint portal Search Connector for Document libraries Connector for Webparts i have gone through some documents but no one is giving clear information about it... So can any oneprovide methe links,which provide information about it......plZ i realy dont under which category will this Question come, thats why i am posting here

Hello, Only supported back end for SharePoint is MSSQL Server. You will be able to access pretty much any other back end data via BDC and custom connectors and display them on the SP sitebut internally Sharepoint must use MSSQL. Regards

Well, you are not the only person with that requirement floating your way. I understand what is the MS SQL is the designed and supported back end for SharePoint, but with issues with Content Management come people pushing for IBM Filenet to make up for SharePoint (out of the box) shortcomings. I honestly think this places unnecessary complexity and investment into the hat. Unfortunately, as we are going with a managed service, it looks like this is what we will have to deal with and the documentation is few and far between.
