Hi,

Im trying to take a backup of Hyper-V virtual machine using http://hypervoria.com/hyper-v/invoking-diskshadow-to-back-up-a-virtual-machine-from-a-hyper-v-host.aspx.

Unfortunately when I list writers there is no "Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer" on the list.

Could you help me to fix this problem lease?

Do you mean that only the Hyper-V VSS Writer is not listed in the output? Would you please take a look at the Event Viewer, located at Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V-VMMS, to see if any errors and warnings are logged.

As Reminder, the Hyper-V VSS Writer service is not exist in windows 8.
