I think we're going to need some more details to help. Does this happen with all users? Some users? Can you access the portal using the account you used to install the product? Have you granted Authenticated Users contribute permissions to the WSS site? Have you created your users, with a domain name, in the ILM Portal?

also, if the user's domain attribute isn't in the system, you will have such problem

Except for the user that you specify during install all other users need to be imported through the AD MA from AD into the ILM Sync Engine and then into the ILM Web Service (through the ILM MA) in order to login. (An easy way to see if this has been completed is to login as the admin and look at the users record in the portal and confirm that the mvguid attribute is populatedDavid Lundell www.ilmBestPractices.com

Some how the person object for the administrator was altered in the ILM APP DB after using ILM-SYNC. Finally I was able to correct the attributes for the administrator on the database level by comparing the object with a simular object on a copy machine.Tx for any replies.
