Merging two Databases - newbie question
I want to merge two databases (database A and database B) into a new database that matches the schema of database A. If database A is the "System of Record" - the new database is unchanged. If database B is the SOR, I want fields in the new DB to be updated from database B. To create the new database should I use replication? Thanks in advance!

what do you mean by database? you mean all tables in the database? or 1 table of it? do you have sample data of A and B , and sample destination?http://www.rad.pasfu.com

Indeed I mean all tables. I realize its alot of work to map over the data from Database B into the new database. But the main thing I'm wondering is whether I should use replication to create my new "merged" database (it would be a subscriber to database A) - and then use an ETL to map data from database B into the new database.
