Memory Warning From BIDS
Hi all, I am using MS SQL Server 2008 R2 32-bit Standard Edition, which is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit Standard Edition. Reporting Services is installed on the same Windows Server, and it is in Native Mode, and is a 64-bit installation. From my Windows 7 64-bit machine where the SQL Server tools are installed, I am using BIDS to create reports. After several months of using with no problem the setting I have just described, one of a sudden I keep on receiving the following warning message from within BIDS: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." Would someone be kind to shed some light for me on this warning message? What does it mean? How to follow up with such a warning? What to fix? Thank you.

Hi Chuck, Thank you for taking the time to address my inquiry. The solution sounds simple: Just reset the windows layout by going to "Window ----> Reset Window Layout" from the menu bar. I appreciate it.
