McsExec.log Errors
So, for some reason my multicast service point is unable to connect to the database using a domain account. Let me give a little summary of our environment. The site server is separate from the database server, and the database site is installed as a local account on the database server. Our DP (which is NOT the PXE Service Point) has WDS Transport Server installed and multicast configured to connect to the database server as a domain account which has Owner rights to the SCCM database. There are no firewalls turned on in the middle. Yet, MCSexec.log gives this error: ========== HealthCheck ffffffff-ffff-ffff-ffff-ffffffffffff McsExec 4/11/2012 8:53:53 AM 1800 (0x0708) CMPDBConnection::Init(): IDBInitialize::Initialize() failed with 0x80004005 McsExec 4/11/2012 8:54:57 AM 1800 (0x0708) ======================================= McsExec 4/11/2012 8:54:57 AM 1800 (0x0708) MPDB ERROR - CONNECTION PARAMETERS SQL Server Name : TSS-SQL SQL Database Name : SCCM_COE Integrated Auth : True MPDB ERROR - EXTENDED INFORMATION MPDB Method : Init() MPDB Method HRESULT : 0x80004005 Error Description : [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. database site is installed as a local account on the database server Can you expand on this statement a bit? Is your SQL instance running using a domain account or local account on that system?Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys
