Many problems with the Console after SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 installation

After installing the SP1, the Admin Console has several issues. I couldn't find anything helpful so I hope someone can help me here.

First of all, the folder view in the Console doesn't work. If I browse to a folder in the "Device Collections" tree, it lists me all existing Device Collections from every folder, after pressing F5 several times or click into another folder and back again it sometimes shows the correct collections in this folder again, but after a refresh it shows all collections again. This is very disturbing as you can imagine. This is not only for the Device Collections, its for Task Sequences, Queries, Applications as well. Its even the same problem when you want to choose a collection where you want to set a deployment on. Its messed up in every menu.

It's not a local problem of a client. If I use the Admin Console installed on the site server, its the same. Reinstalling the Admin Console did not fix it. A few days ago I rebooted the DB server and the site server and it worked well for about one week without any problems, than the issues came back as before. If you start the console with another user, there are no problems at the beginning. after a while (sometimes hours, sometimes days) the issues are starting.

Next problem is that I have to restart the Admin Console many times until it allows me to do changes in Task Sequences. I receive the following message when saving the changes and the TS is locked:

ConfigMgr Error Object:
instance of SMS_ExtendedStatus

{Description = "Failed to save the TS package instance due to error 80041001"; ErrorCode = 1078462229 File = ""
"E:\\nts_sccm_release\\sms\siteserver\\sdk_provider\\smsprov\\ssptspackage.cpp" Line = 3440; Operation = "ExecMethod"; ParameterInfo = "SMS_TaskSequencePackage"; ProviderName = WinMgmt"; StatusCOde = 2147749889;

After cleaning the Object Lock from the DB and restarting the Console it usually works again.

Next problem is that the Console crashes when I try to deploy content to an additional distribution point:

Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.ManagementProvider.WqlQueryEngine.WqlQueryException: Not found , property = SecurityVerbs ---> System.Management.ManagementException: Not found

This error message is much longer, I had to cut it.

Does anyone have an idea what's the problem here?

Thank you.

it fixes some, but there are still plenty of issues. I've found the workaround is usually to use the PowerShell cmdlets. this worked for the driver bloat issue, as well as the sporadic "can't delete software update deployments" (console would just lock up)

the f5 requirement to not see every single package in a package subfolder, or every single task sequence in a task sequence subfolder is still there.  powershell cmdlet works fine here.

the task sequence error is still there, but you don't have to close the console, just wait a minute and try again.  if it still does it wait a minute and try again.  At least if you've made a bunch of changes you don't have to re-do the work.  powershell cmdlets work here too

so on the plus side, this update forces you to learn a bit of powershell and/or patience.

I don't think CU1 is the answer to this question, but it is helpful.  the answer would be compile a list of problems that you've noticed and submit them on Connect. https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/SC_Public
