Manual Software update on OS IMage fails
I'm running SCCM 2012 R2 and have several Windows 7 OS images created. I'm trying to install the OS updates, but I keep getting the error, "Failed to find or access the update binaries to be applied on the image."

When I looked in the OfficeLineServicingMgr.log file I found this:
Content '00cbc4d9-deec-4787-b3ee-f4ebf0d12daf' not found in content library on this site. Software updates should be distributed to this site.

I searched until All Software updates for that content number, but it's now there. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The SQL query listed here might help to find the corresponding update: http://www.mssccmfaq.de/2012/06/21/finde-das-software-update/

Torsten,

I was able to locate the KB and unselect it, but when I ran the Software Update again on the image it found another one, so I found that one and unselected that one, only to find out it found another one.

If I select just a few updates they apply just fine to the image.

Any ideas?

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
