Hi, I have a SSRS and SSAS 2008 Deployment. I have some SSRS Reports connected to a BI Solution, but I need open parameters so that the users can write the value of information. The reports are embedded in a ReportViewer Control (Remote Server Processing) and work fine. But when the user write some invalid value, the report throw an error (an error known). An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Query execution failed for dataset 'DataSet1'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand) Query (1, 794) The restrictions imposed by the CONSTRAINED flag in the STRTOSET function were violated. I know the cause of the error, but I need to keep the query as it is. How can I know this error is hapenning in order to control it from SSRS or the page with the ReportViewer Control. Mi idea is to handle this error but the event Reportviewer.ReportError is not triggered in this case. THanks in advance, Ariel

Hi Ariel, If the MDX parameter is enterable and you can't ensure valid input values each time, you should remove the key word "CONSTRAINED" from the StrToSet expression, which is the root cause. thanks, Jerry
