Ok .. What would be the point, regarding to managing Windows 8(.x) BYO devices, to use the combination Windows Intune/SCCM 2012 instead of Windows Intune stand-alone. It reduces the functionality so much (Quote Jon Lynn: You won't be able to patch, update, deploy MSI/EXE installs or install Windows Intune Endpoint Proection on those devices either. You would be able to deploy a limited set of mobile device policies and provide access to modern applications (APPX) to those machines.)  that it doesn't weigh up to the 'Single Point of administration'  'feature'.
