Hello Wilson,1. Telnet problematic client port 135 from SCE serverto see if it works fine. such as telnet <FQDNclientname> 135.2. Check if clients have been registered in DNS server correctly. You can use nslookup command to test.3. Ensure the GPOs created by SCE have been applied on the agents. And the RPC and 'Remote Registry' services are running fine. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

How can I check the RPC and Remote registry services are running fine?I found the RPC service are running, but remote registry service is stop. Do I set it to auto run?I tried to install the agent manually. It works but SCE cannot update the version. the task always stuck on pending management queue without type name.

Hello Clown,1. Make sure the Telnet service is running, so you can have the welcome message. 2. Please read the following KB article: Using NSlookup.exehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/200525/en-us 3. You can check the services by running the command "services.msc". Make sure they are Automatic and Started. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

Hi Clown,Did you mean "SCE 2007 RTM version" and "SCE 2007 SP1 version" with the words: "original agent" and "new version agent"? Please be notified that SCE 2007 Server and agents must have the same version to communicate with each other. The following article may be helpful for your scenario:How to Configure a Manually Installed System Center Essentials Agenthttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb437257.aspxThanks,Yog Li - MSFT
