Management Point not configured correctly I believe, with some general questions
Hello, In my SCCM 2007 instance under collections ( any system grouup ) the client field it displays "NO". The CCMsetup client is what determines if the client is installed on the workstation/server and has control of the statement Yes/No? I also believe my MP isn't configured properly when I look into the logs of the CCMsetup folder. This is what the log displays on the actually server that SCCM is installed on <![LOG[==========[ ccmsetup started in process 5932 ]==========]LOG]!><time="10:05:14.521+300" date="01-14-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="3492" file="ccmsetup.cpp:9010"> <![LOG[Version: 4.0.6487.2000]LOG]!><time="10:05:14.522+300" date="01-14-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="3492" file="ccmsetup.cpp:2068"> <![LOG[GetAdaptersAddressess entry point is supported.]LOG]!><time="10:05:14.523+300" date="01-14-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="0" thread="3492" file="ccmiputil.cpp:118"> <![LOG[DhcpGetOriginalSubnetMask entry point is supported.]LOG]!><time="10:05:14.523+300" date="01-14-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="0" thread="3492" file="ccmiputil.cpp:181"> <![LOG[Adapter {BA25924B-A8C4-4FB4-B503-1D69E7F8130F} is DHCP enabled. The information in this section has helped me narrowed quite a few problems I ran into. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

Is this your very first MP? Check Webdav, check to make sure the proper permissions are on the System Management Container. Do you have AD extended? Do you need to install a SLP? http://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com

I have the role already installed in the "site system" container, and have it set to "allow devices to use this management point". Specify the database is using " Use the site database" or should I use the current SQL database I have? Specify account used by the management point to connect with the database> I have it set with my domain account which has admin privileges. AD is not extended, as for the server locator point! I'm not sure I need one and I'm sure there isn't one currently on my network. But it's installed in the site system container. Should I point that to the SQL database on that server SCCM is installed on?

Hi, can you doublecheck the webdav settings by running the MP troubleshooter from ConfigMgr. Toolkit V2. Also make sure that you have installed WEBDav in the Default website and finally check sitecomp.log for more information.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi, can you doublecheck the webdav settings by running the MP troubleshooter from ConfigMgr. Toolkit V2. Also make sure that you have installed WEBDav in the Default website and finally check sitecomp.log for more information. Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund I ran the utility and there was indeed a problem with WebDav and it corrected that issue. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?> - <!-- MP_Pre_TroubleShooter_Report test Results --> - <Tests> - <Test> - <Name xmlns="Determine whether the management point candidate's system drive is NTFS."> - <Result xmlns="Passed"> <Comment xmlns="" /> </Result> </Name> </Test> - <Test> - <Name xmlns="Does the management point candidate meet the minimum free disk space requirement on the system drive? Also Kent, it's installed in the Default website. As for the Management Point, is the Webdav part of it? I go into the management point configure and it shows site database or use database replica which would be a sql database.
