Management Point ignored during OSD from secondary site?
Hi we do a bare metal osd deployment in a secondary site. WDS installed, PXE installed and everything works nearly as expected. We setup the secondary site as a distribution point and all software is downloaded from the secondary site dp. Fine. After crawling through the log I observed that always the management point from the central site is contacted during the task sequence deployment although I installed also a management point on the secondary site server. Boundaries are defined correctly. As soon as the os is installed the secondary site management point is used. My expectation was that the task sequence will also use the same management point detection process. Are there any technical reasons for this behaviour? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Joachim

take a look at Wally's reply here "A default management point is just the management point you want clients to use at that site. So yes, if you are installing a proxy management point at a secondary site, if you want clients to use it, you'd need to designate it as the default MP for the site. " so have you marked the Proxy management point as a default mp ? My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady
