I have used Send To command in WSS Doc Library to copy a file to anothe Doc Library. But when I use Manage Copies command to update the copy (after a change to the Source document, I get copy error (Copy did not update successfully). This happens regardless of what source document I choose - any one that I choose to update copies for, I get same error. I am able to use the Send Copy command to make a copy of the document, but cannot update the copy after is is created. Any ideas?

Hi, Please check the “Require documents to be check out before they can be edited” setting. If it is set to Yes, please disable it and try again. It seems that this is by design update process will fail if checkout is required for document library. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks & Regards. Lily Wu

My config was already set to 'No', but even so it gives me an error when I try to manage copies through the ribbon.
