Maintenance Plans get Catastrophic Failure
Hello, I'll hope anyone can help me! OS: Windows 7 Enterprise x64SQL: 2008 CTP I cannot save or modify any maintenance plan. I'll get following message when I save the plan: Catastrophic Failure Have you any idea why I'll get this error message? Thank's!

which service pack? CTP has any service pack?

I had similare problem and it has been resolved by reregistering the msxml libs: Regsvr32 msxml3.dll Regsvr32 msxml6.dll You can try it!

After having this problem for a number of month, I registered the msxml libs as you suggested and I am now able to save SQL server maintenances plan from 2008 R2 Management Studio on my desktop. Thanks!

Are you really running a CTP version of 2008 or 2008R2? If so, I would suggest going to the RTM + Service Packs as the CTP is severely outdated. If, on the other hand, you are talking about the CTP for Denali that is a different story...Please mark answered posts. Thanks for your time.
