Mailbox Permissioning
Planning on using FIM to provision Exch 2010 mailboxes in a resource forest.
What is the best way to permission the mailbox following the provisioning action?

If as "permissioning" you think about assigning objectSID of a user to resource mailbox this can be done at provisioning level - there is CreateMailbox method which takes account forest object SID as parameter to create mailbox in resource forest
and it does what You need to be done.

Thanks Tomasz.. Sorry, possibly one for the Exchange forum.
So is the 'Full Access' & 'Send As' permission
required on the mailbox?

Yes, but this should handle this as well.

Great, this can be done with coded provisioning rules (mv rules extension)..
Is this technique also possible using the declarative provisioning feature in FIM?

If you want to do it this way you're probably going to need to fire off a custom workflow activity. My Book - Active Directory, 4th Edition

Thanks Brian - As our customer does not want to go down the coding route,
we'll have a look at Quest's Quick Connect for Exchange Resource Forests.
