Mail Flow Form one Ex2010 Server to another Ex2010 is Delaying

Hi All,

We are facing mail delay issue while sending from Internet Facing Exchange2010(A) to another Ex2010(B), both are in same Organisation but on different site. But mail from Ex2010(B) is working fine while Sending to Exchange2010(A) and also to External Domain. When we send mail from A to B, it is getting stuck in SMTP Relay to Remote Active Directory Site and then deliver after 5 min some time in 10 min, there is no fix time. Not able to under stand why it is taking time to deliver the mails. When we check the eventlogs, we are getting one warning

Send connector Intra-Organization SMTP Send Connector: the connection to x.x.x.x:25 was disconnected by the remote server.

Need Urgent help.

Thanks

Hi Mukesh,

Does internal emails from user in site A goes to site B user quickly?

Is the issue happening only for emails for site B user from the internet?

Are both sites in the same AD site?

Is the email domain set as authoritative in the accepted domains list?

Can you verify Receive Connector Authentication on Server B (Remote Site). Just want to verify authentication via 'Exchange Servers' is set for allowed. Is that remote site experiencing any DC/ DNS issues (How about replication to this site (repadmin /showreplsummary))? Is mail flowing from Server B to Server A just fine?

check the Queue also for 'Last Error'

Get-Queue <Queue Name> | select *error*

Let me know!

Hi Rajith,

Thanks for your reply,.

Internal emails are also stuck in SMTP Relay to Remote Active Directory Site from A to B, but from B to A. its working perfectly fine. Yes Both Sites are in Same AD Site.

Yes email domain set as authoritative in the accepted domains list in Organization wide

Also one thing we noticed that Shadow redundancy queue is growing in Site A while in Site B, its fine.

We do not have DAG.

Thanks

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your reply, Under receive connector ---in Default Connector it was checked, but in Client Connector it was not having Exchange Server Checked, I have checked now and restarted transport service of Both Server but No luck. There is no replication issue between the sites, I will run the mentioned command also. Mail flow between B to A is working fine.

Also one thing we noticed that Shadow redundancy queue is growing in Site A while in Site B, its fine.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks
