MS Word Error While creating new Document in share point 2010
when i click on new document button on th ribbon in share point. Ms word 2010 starts but following error occurs. There is a problem saving the file. Usually this is because the disk or floppy disk is too small for the file or is full, RAM memory is low, or there is a permission problem with the drive the file is being saved to. If the amount of disk space for a paging file is low, save the file to another drive. If the RAM memory is low, increase available RAM. If permissions to the drive do not allow you to save to that drive, save the file to another drive or request permissions from the administrator to save files to the drive. Note This error can also occur if the computer is running a version of antivirus software that is incompatible with the Microsoft Office or must be updated. what is the reason behind thi error and give me sollution if any body knows.. Hi, My first thought is, Is it really a sharepoint issue? Can you please confirm whether you are able to open document from library or not. Also make sure that you have opened only one document because one previous word instance still exist in cache. Also try below steps: Open any word 2010-->File->Options->Trust Center--->Select Trust centre settings in the right pane--->Select "Protected view" in the left pane--->Disable all the protected view options. There is some article for same issue so you can try in your case. http://www.directsharepoint.com/2011/12/solution-to-error-there-is-problem.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2119612 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word/opening-more-than-one-file-in-word-2010-error-word/f91632a0-59d5-45de-8038-14d08128cc10 Let us know your resultCheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"

Hi, There must be a problem with your office version so can you please tell us which version you are using and which doc version you are trying to read from library. Also verify below registry entry in your system: Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\14.0\word\options . Set the key "DefaultFormat" from "Doc" to "DocX". Let us know your resultCheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"
