MSXML 6.0 not available, failing over to lower version
There-s one client that I cleaned it with CCMclean, I removed its folders and certificates to try to install it again... Whether I run manually ccmsetup or with client push I-m getting following errors in the CCMsetup.log MSXML 6.0 not available, failing over to lower version Loading manifest file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.xml Successfully loaded ccmsetup manifest file. Invalid version string: ??.??.????.???? Error processing node: <Item FileName="i386/msxml6.msi"> <Applicability Platform="X86" OS="ALL"/> <Discovery Type="File" Identifier="%windir%\system32\msxml6.dll"> <Property Name="Version" Operator="&gt;=">6.10.1129.0</Property> </Discovery> <Installation Order="3" InstallationType="MSI" OptionalParams="REBOOT=Suppress"/> </Item> A Fallback Status Point has not been specified. Message with STATEID='301' will not be sent. I checked but there is actually that file msxml6... I tried repairing but it-s the same.

I would try running msxml6.msi manually and add verbose logging (msiexec /i msxml6.msi /l*v c:\mylogfile.log). Maybe there's additional information logged then. Or look for MSXML6.MSI.LOGJohn Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

Did you follow John's suggestion? What does the log file say?http://www.enhansoft.com/

OK, Johns way worked out. My log file says INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL But I neither see MSXML6 in my Software-List for de-installation nor does MDT2010 work and still produces MSXML6 errors. Is there a way to check if MSXML6 is really correct installed? Is there a test program or a command to check this out? Admin Student

Sorry, I don't know enough abut MSXML6 to help with this. Post in the MDT forum. If MDT needs this installed one of those guys likely knows. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|
