MPIO information missing in Windows Server Core

Viewing the properties of a disk in a local session of computer manager displays information on the MPIO paths:

To my knowledge (and hunting) there is no way to query this information via Powershell, or my using the mpclaim tool.

Opening the properties of the MPIO disk via Computer Manager is fine for Full GUI installations of Windows, but for CORE installations we are left without a method to retrieve the Path Status.

Opening computer manager from another server and connecting to the core computer only displays the 'General' and 'Volumes' tabs (as below)

Why is this behavior occurring and how to we work around

What is it that you're trying to see that mpclaim.exe doesn't show you?

If you run:

mpclaim -s -d

that will show you all of the disks for which MPIO is functioning. Each will have a number shown like "Disk0", "Disk1", etc. If you take that number like this:

mpclaim -s -d 1
The output of that should look more or less like what you see in the first dialog.
