MOSS not able to authenticate AD users
I know no windows patch has been applied since a month. I came to know that there is a link problem over VPN between the hosted environment and the main AD environment. It's been investigated. Must be a network issue and not relevant to MOSS. Moderators may move or delete this post from MOSS forum.Thanks, Soumya

We have replicated AD across VPN. Over the weekend, MOSS won't authenticate users against this replicated AD, something that was working fine for a long time. To eliminate MOSS, I tried from a regular IIS website after configuring it to use Integrated Windows Authentication. That won't authenticate either. How can I test AD authentication in a non IIS way?Thanks, Soumya

As you noted, MOSS isn't the issue. AD is. I would check and see if any AD patches or Windows patches were applied. If so, reverse those to see if it solves the issue. Otherwise, see if any new Group Policies were pushed out that may have affected authentication. I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog
