MOSS Datasheet View column filter returns no results when results should be returned
So... here's an interesting situation. I have a List in MOSS, nothing special, it has a few lookup columns. If I create a view from this list and filter the results by using the column filters on one of these lookups, it filters fine. If I change the view to datasheet view and try to filter on that same lookup column it works for some selections and it returns zero results for other selections although there are rows that should be returned! (did I mention these rows ARE returned in the Standard View?). This page and view has not been customized at all.. just your standard stuff... There are just over 2000 items in the list as well. Is there any difference between the values which work and those which don't? Something like a particular character in the values or over a certain length or something? You're asking two very different engines to act the same, which is totally reasonable, of course. Datasheet views are just plain odd beasties, though. nope.. nothing remarkably different about ones that don't work and ones that do. both are of the format: text - text like "Harrison - hometown" or "Mark - isSpelledWithAK" ;) From I can gather, this is not too uncommon with DataSheet Views and I just need to accept it... I have been able to confirm that if I modify the view settings and set the filter there I get the correct results in the datasheet view, now it just becomes a training exercise and managing client's expectations... How dare they expect things to be consistent!!! The SharePoint Hillbilly Fewer Big Words... More Pretty Pictures... http://www.SharePointHillbilly.com

HI, Can you try creating a new document library and check if it happens there or not? While you face this issue have you checked ULS to find any details that may be helpful? Thanks, Rahul Rashu
