MOSS :: page layout
It is very confusing. Some one asked me that could we have WEBPART zone in PAGE layouts, I said no....but I am not sure of it so my question is QUes 1) can we have webpart zone in page layouts? Ques 2) In case we cannot have webpart zone, then how could I add a webpart to page layout:? manoj.verma

Hello, Yes you can have web part zones in page layouts. Please take a look at these: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-designer-help/create-a-publishing-page-layout-HA010174128.aspx http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/create-a-page-layout-HA010120642.aspx When you are in SharePoint Designer, you can add a web part zone to the page layout. Hi All, I have two fields on my custom page layout. Now the requirement is to hide one of then on the basis on user login or sharepoint group . how is that possible? Thanks, Manoj vermamanoj.verma
