MOSS 2007 outgoing and incoming email configuration
Hello,
I have set up MOSS 2007, but do not have smtp service and pop3 service installed. Now I want to configurate the incoming and outgoing email of sharepoint, if I install the SMTP and Pop3 service now, will it change or affect the current sharepoint
sites(I'm worried this may make the sites collapse)?
After the SMTP and Pop3 service intallation compelet, do I need to run the configuration wizard before configurating the incoming and outgoing email in centra admin?
Appreciate any handful info.
Thanks

Hi Nancy,
you can install the SMTP without any interuption for the web application , and you dont have to run the configuration wizard again.
SMTP is just service that will be installed on the server then you will configure it on the farm, please refer to these links to configure the incoming and outgoing email and also installing smtp
