Hi, is it possible to run MOSS 2007 with the MSSQL Server Collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI ? We need to install MSSQL 2008 with a different server collation than the default. Does it have any negative impact on MOSS 2007 ? Regards Sven

Hi, According to your description, I think it is possible to run MOSS 2007 with the MSSQL Server Collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI. In a nutshell, SharePoint will set the correct collation settings when it create the database. So you can use whatever you want when you install SQL. In my opinion, there is a little risk to change database collation. Changing the database collation will not change the collation for existing data so you may get conflicts if you join new tables to old ones as well as tempdb. Best regards David Hu
