I have a MOSS 2007 server, that is a Team Site at the top of the Site Collection. I have several sites set up underneath it, and I have given "Full Control" to the Project Leads for the sites. In all of the sites, the Site Owners can do everything: create subsites, tasks, calendars, announcements, edit the sites and add web parts. The only thing they cannot do, is create a PAGE. They get a "access denied" error. I checked in the "pages" document library, and they have "full control"! I checked a few other things: * Under site settings, I have the all of "site features" enabled, except for translation library. * in Central Administration, under Web Application something, I have all of the items checked except for "allow others to check in other's documents". What's weird is that I can create pages, but no one else can! I want everyone to be able to create them.

I should also add: I can create "publishing pages" by going to the "Site Actions" "Create Page" menu, and choose any of the page types - article, welcome, etc. The project leads click on "create page" and they get the access denied error. They can create a "basic page" through - "view all site settings" link, "create", and choose "basicpage". The "publishing page" link is there also, but when they click on it they get the access denied error. They have full control in the pages and document libraries as well for test purposes. I'm at a complete loss and a bit desparate...yikesola

Hi yikesola41, Please try to check if the user has permission on Master pages and Page Layouts galley in the top level site. If not, try to grant him the read access. Let me know the result.Xue-Mei Chang
