MOSS 2007 Permission
Environment:- MOSS 2007 Questions related to :- Permissions Summary:- The power users have requested full access to the site, we as SharePoint team have agreed to provide full control to the site, however we have restricted the access of the user to create and or delete the sites. We have accomplished this by disabling the below option from the web application general settings Create Subsites - Create subsites such as team sites, Meeting Workspace sites, and Document Workspace sites. Manage Web Site- Grants the ability to perform all administration tasks for the Web site as well as manage content. Requirements:- As the user has been given access to the site (Full), they also have the capability to edit their own permissions, like editing their group, making changes to their group and changing their account permissions. For which the suggestion was made to disable the option from the central administration which is as below Manage Permissions- Create and change permission levels on the Web site and assign permissions to users and groups. When the above option is unchecked the users are not able to have access to modify the permissions at the list level Question:- 1)Do we have any option where Manage permissions is unchecked and even then the users will\might have full access to the list so that they can add\modify and delete users from the list level ?
