MOSS 2007 Email Access Requests
Hey All, We recently had an external security audit done and part of their testing was to see if they could gain access to our Sharepoint Portal. So now I am receiving 500 emails per day from Sharepoint stating that someone is request access to a site. Now I am not going to be granting this access but am wondering if these are all the same 500 emails each day. That is to say, does Sharepoint store the access requests and resend them until they are actioned? I have searched google and many publications to no avail. Just hoping someone else has experienced this and knows how to easily turn them off. Thanks

For the time being, you could remove you email address and point access request mails to imaginary address. once the audit is complete, you can put you address back.

I just wanted to update the forum. I finally received confirmation from my sys admin that the testing is still on going. WHich explains why I am still getting 500 emails per day. Not that I am happy about that but what can you do. No point in me changing settings when it is actually easier to just setup a rule in outlook to auto delete the messages :) Thanks to all who replied :)
