MOSS 2007 - Error Code 500 after click on Ok button on a post reply with an accent charactere in the title of the topic
Hi, I have this strange behavior in my test and prod environment but not in my Dev. The case is as following: Someone create in a discssion list a topic with an accent charactere in the title. Someone else click on the reply button. then he write the post. Then he click on the Ok button and a code error 500 page is loaded. In the same discussion list If the title of the topic does'nt contain any accent charactere it works well ! Regional settings of the site collection are strictly identical on Dev, test and pro environment. Does someone have any Idea ? Thanks in advance for your answers JunkCoder

Hi, Did you publish a SharePoint Server 2007 Web site that is installed through Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server? If yes, this is caused by the ISA “Verify normalization” function, the Verify Normalization feature (enabled by default) specifies that requests with URLs that contain escape characters after normalization will be blocked. Please try to disable the “Verify normalization” in ISA, The steps are as below: 1) Start the ISA Server Management tool. Expand Server Name, where Server Name is the name of your ISA Server computer. 2) Click Firewall Policy, click the Web publishing rule that you created to publish the MOSS site, and then click “Edit Selected Rule”. 3) Click the Traffic tab, click Filtering, and then click Configure HTTP. 4) Click to clear the "verify normalization" check box, and then click OK two times. 5) Click Apply to update the firewall policy, and then click OK. Hope it helps.Xue-Mei Chang
